The world is currently struggling with the coronavirus pandemic. The COVID-19 announced by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 11 March 2020 will have the strongest impact on all aspects of life around the world. Many people are absolutely confident the world will never be the same again. Everything will change: an approach to technology, habits of people, attitude to the person, priorities, and much more.
Forced quarantine, protects from risk the most vulnerable category of the population and especially the older generation and people with chronic diseases, the most dangerous of which are diseases of the cardiovascular system, lungs, diabetes mellitus, cancer increased blood pressure. This requires community leaders to rethink their activities in accordance with the realities of life.
It is encouraging that at this really dangerous and difficult time, on the basis of the above, the “Samarkand” Charitable Foundation, whose leadership is in New York, has reoriented its priorities.
We have recently witnessed a report-re-election meeting of the Fund, where there has been a partial change in the governing Council. The most important reality is that Mark Kolontarov, a young, active, interpreted, and most importantly, soul-rooting for the cause has been elected to the post of President of the Council. Talented businessman and supervisor.
The members of the community are well aware that in the past, all of the fund ‘s interests (it may be noted that almost all of the funds that operate in the community) have been concentrated mainly on the enrichment of the cemetery area, forgetting the aspirations of the living members of the community and their problems: for example, drug addiction, single mothers, disabled persons, old people, employment of adolescents after school, etc.
At present, it is thanks to the activities of President Mark Kolontarov that the foundation has begun to implement the electoral platform, namely, turned the “face” towards the problems of living people, their unrest, and anxiety. This is particularly important in a difficult time. These days we witness himself and Council members doing charitable work. They carry out free delivery of food kits and protective equipment – masks and gloves, the most vulnerable category of members of the sick community and pensioners. This is a great noble cause, a clear example to the younger generation. As a child, each of us was told that if you did good, it would definitely come back. And those are not empty words. Now that the whole world is flinching from one word “coronavirus,” people are coming together to help each other. Honestly, sincerely and with kind words. And after some time, they receive unexpected gifts of fate. I think everyone involved in this noble cause will definitely get them.
Especially I would like to note the sincere work of Mark Kolontarov, Rafael Normatov, and other members of the Council, as well as the employees of the Net Cost chain of shops.

В настоящее время весь мир борется с пандемией коронавируса. COVID-19, о которой Всемирная организация здравоохранения (ВОЗ) объявила 11 марта 2020 года, окажет сильнейшее влияние на все стороны жизни во всём мире. Многие люди абсолютно уверены мир никогда уже не будет прежним. Изменится все: подход к технологиям, привычки людей, отношение к человеку, приоритеты и многое другое.
Вынужденный карантин, предохраняет от риска наиболее уязвимую категорию населения и в первую очередь старшее поколение и людей с хроническими заболеваниями , самые опасные из которых – болезни сердечно-сосудистой системы, легких, сахарный диабет, рак повышенное артериальное давление. И это требует от руководителей общинных общественных организаций переосмыслить свою деятельность в соответсвии с реалиями жизни.
Отрадно, что в это действительно опасное и трудное время, на основе вышеизложенного, благотворительный фонд «Самарканд», руководство которого находится в Нью Йорке переориентировал свои приоритеты.
Недавно мы были свидетелями отчетно-перевыборного собрания этого фонда, где произошла частичная смена руководящего Совета. Самая главная реальность, что на должность президента Совета избран молодой, активный, толковый, а главное, душой болеющий за дело Марк Колонтаров. Талантливый бизнеcмен и руководитель.
Члены общины прекрасно знают, что в прошлом все приритеты фонда, (можно отметить, почти всех фондов, которые функционируют в общине) в основном были сконцентрированы на облагораживании кладбищенской территории, забывая о чаяниях живых членов общины, их проблемах: например: наркомания, матери одиночки, инвалиды, старики, занятость подростков после школы и т. д.
В настоящее время именно благодаря деятельности президента Марка Колонтарова фонд стал воплощать в жизнь предвыборную платформу, а именно, повернулся «лицом» в сторону проблем живых людей, их волнений и тревог. Это особенно важно в наше трудное время. В эти дни мы являемся свидетелями, как он сам и члены Совета занимаются благотворительной деятельностью. Они осуществляют бесплатную доставку продуктовых наборов и средств защиты – маски и перчатки, самой уязвимой категории членов общины-больным и пенсионерам. Это большое благородное дело, наглядный пример подрастающему поколению. В детстве каждому из нас говорили, что если делать добро, то оно обязательно вернётся. И это не пустые слова. Сейчас, когда весь мир вздрагивает от одного слова «коронавирус», люди объединяются, чтобы помочь друг другу. Честно, искренне и с добрыми словами. А через некоторое время сами получают неожиданные подарки судьбы. Думаю все, кто вовлечен в это благородное дело обязательно их получат
Особо хочется отметить искреннюю работу Марка Колонтарова, Рафаэля Норматова и др. членов Совета, а также работников сети магазинов «Net Cost».
